Virtual PARTNERING

The PLANT-KBBE funding partners (MICINN, Spain; MdR & ANR, France; FCT, Portugal; Genome Prairie, Canada; BMBF, Germany) published a joint “Call for Proposals” in the context of the PLANT-KBBE initiative at January 15th, 2010.

The objective of the Virtual Partnering is the organisation, presentation as well as exchange of research ideas and expertises, the formation or consolidation of consortia, and the association of additional cooperation partners if needed.

Potential project partners are invited to register for this electronic platform, accompanied by the submission of short abstracts* as well as ‘Expressions of Interest’ (EoI)*, and, if desired, by contributions to the “Offers” and/or “Wanted” section (“Research Marketplace”).

NOTE: *Submission of an EoI (regarded and handled as “strictly CONFIDENTIAL”) and submission of an abstract (that can be viewed by other platform participants) at this site are two different and independent operations.

What are your OPTIONS?

With your personal access code you gain access to abstracts of other potential projects, to contact data of other participants and you are enabled to place your research “Offers” and “Wanteds”.

Abstracts – are short summaries (not more than a single page) of potential project ideas of individuals and/or consortia. Other partners but also work packages could complement your abstracts. Abstracts of others can be viewed and the people involved can be contacted.

Offers/Wanted – gives you the opportunity, to make your expertise and/or needs for future research projects visible to a specific target audience. Probably you may identify new partners by introducing in your special expertise, technology, (biological) resources and materials or by addressing specific needs to optimise your potential project idea. Contributions to the “Offers” and “Wanted” section can be viewed and the people involved can be contacted.

Expression of Interest (EoI) – The submission of an “Expression of Interest” is recommended. This piece of information will be handled as “strictly confidential” and will be only made available to the Call Secretariat. The availability of EoIs enables the Call Coordination team to make arrangements with regard to the evaluation procedure (peer review etc) in time.

myArea – is your personal sector to manage your own abstracts, “Offers” and “Wanteds”, f. exp. to alter or to complete them. The personal access code ensures your specific admission to these data.
